Let my house not be walled on four sides, let all the windows be open, let all the cultures blow in,
but let no culture blow me off my feet.
(Mahatma Gandhi)
In the emerging world of the 21st century the intercultural competence is one of the crucial communication skills. Reflecting your own cultural background as well as gaining knowledge of the target culture are the first steps on the way to the rise of your intercultural awareness. Skills and communication methods such as perspective change, reframing and metacommunication are the second step in this process. I use the power of visualization in my intercultural trainings and coachings and pictures are always in the foreground, as they can have an even greater impact than words which might be easily forgotten.
Venture into the world of great changes, as culture shock and communication differences in business area. Develop strategies to a successful cooperation with business partners from various cultural circles. Last but not least, enjoy the intercultural contacts and widen your horizon.
Trainer profile
I am passionate about getting together with people from different cultural circles.
This passion merged during my numerous stays abroad and my intercultural trainings and coachings as well as my presidency of the International Women’s Association of Hanover. As the IWAH chairwoman I experienced how enriching the international project management with people from various cultural circles can be and how much joy it can bring. I am sure that multicultural teams have great synergy potentials at their command and can be very effective, provided the diversity of talents and skills brought by their members will be properly recognized.
Intercultural Trainings
There are no golden recipes in the intercultural communication. Only those businessmen who know their partners as well as their own cultural background can find the best solutions. Every single intercultural encounter varies from the previous ones and is a matter of negotiating the rules of the game. It can, however, be supported in advance by a preparation. I will be happy to attend you on the trip to the world of intercultural communication.
Intercultural Coachings
In Coaching you venture into the world of your own vision of life that is focused on the cultural impact on your personality. You will not need any captain on this voyage, as you are your own boss. The only thing you will need is the ship that brings you to your target. While using different models you will visualize the familiar and new cultural circle and gain the insight on how you could cope with work-life-balance or culture shock. The fulfilled life can only be reached when different fields of our lives are in balance, independently of place of living.
