Mary Alice Arthur and I got to know each other at the Beyond Storytelling Conference in May 2017 in Heidelberg when Mary was the keynote speaker who offered an inspirational talk on her insights on storywork. Afterwards, I offered a workshop on the power of storytelling in the intercultural communication there and so we spent hours and hours on talking about art of hosting, facilitating intercultural groups and learning experiences. The next opportunity to share stories we had, occurred at the Berlin Change Days in October 2017 and both of us felt we wanted to know and experience more about each other's narrative approach.
